18/11/02: Foggy in the morning, and we set off on the boat cruise of Inle lake at 08:00. So foggy in fact that we don’t see much of the lake for the first hour.
We head our way to InDiem (big market). See many other boat tours and traditional leg rowing boats.
The market is OK, but they all sell the same things.
See a gambling games using 3 large dice with pictures on the sides.
Move on to the Aung Chan Silver Smith factory at Yahma. Then a weaving factory at Inbawkon. Then a black Smith near Nampau.
We stop for lunch near the Phaung Daw Paya.
After lunch we visit the Phawng Daw Paya. Then its off to the famous leaping cats. The monks have trained the cats to jump through hoops.
Our boat pilot then takes us to his family home in Pwezagon to see them making Burmese cigarettes. A highlight of the day, as we drink tea with family and of course try the cigarettes. I buy 50 of them for 200khat!
Catch the end of the sun-set.
