Lost Journal Entry: 12th-15th January 2003: Sea Dragon live-aboard. Similan Islands, South Thailand

During this period I went on the spectacular M/V Andaman 4 day/4 night live-aboard trip with Sea Dragon dive centre. http://www.seadragondivecenter.com/. Cost 16910 Bhat.

We toured and dived off Similan, Surin, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai islands and Richelieu Rock. Because of the monsoon season this trip s only avaible from November to April.

12/1/03: Wake up at 06:30 and watch a stunning sun-rise. Get into the water at 08:00 for our first dive off Koh Ha.

Wonderful dive, great visibility and wonderful fish and coral.

After the dive we chill out on the island and trek to both ends.

Wow! Beautiful white beach, cool boulders and clear waters. Paradise. Like a dream.

We head back to the boat for our second dive at 12:00. Again the dives are getting better. Just stunning. Second dive at Koh Payu.

Chill out on the boat in the afternoon before the third dive off Ko Payu. See a white tip reef shark! The food is great on the boat, four courses, and loads of it. We go to the famous rock boulder bay on Koh Payu for the sun-set.

Again a beautiful white beach and clear-clear waters.

Our fourth dive is a night dive off Ko Ba Ngu. Chilled out dive. Excellent meal of sweet&sour fish and green curry. Wonderful day.

13/1/03: First dive at 07:30. Nice dive, loads of fish and giant fan coral.

Again another big breakfast, and we head off to Ko Bon.

We get into the water at 11:30. Bit of a current on this dive, but a great chance to see more spectacular fish.

Red curry for lunch. Relax and sleep inbetween dives today. I’m really shattered. Third and final dive at Ko Tachi. It’s a nice dive considering we were told there was going to be a strong current, but there wasn’t. Saw another Leopard shark, and massive Bat fish.
